Time flies when you are having fun! I can honestly say I truly enjoyed this class. English 1010 does not have an interesting title and is far from what I expected it to be. I appreciated your modern and up to date mentality, it creates less tension throughout the situations that should be tense. It makes me eager to go to class and is quite different from my previous 3 hour classes. They usually seem super long....
As far as what would improve English 1010, I am not sure if it is because we got off track due to us missing class that one week, but it seemed a bit rushed towards the middle. I know of a few classmates that did not appreciate buying 3 books and seemed like we only used one of the books(which was the cheapest of the three). Other than that GREAT GREAT GREAT!

Chapters 19 -22
In this reading, Nan has gotten the book confiscated and is super scared of what is to happen next. Anne uses her mental and emotional control over King Henry to convince him to find a way to retrieve the book. He was also convinced that he needs to read the book for it has content that would help speed up the divorce between him and Katherine.
Anne and her family experience the Sweating disease as it goes through the town and kills a few people. Bess, Anne's helper, contracts the Sweating disease and then later dies from it. George, Anne's brother, also gets the disease and her family believe he is going to die. Modern day Anne recalls her memory from 21st century and remembers that George overcomes this illness. He in fact does survive it. At the end of the reading, Anne does contract the illness and it is unclear as to what happens to her. She does however survive through it.

Chapters 13-15
I am glad to see that Anne gets a weight lifted off her shoulders in this week's reading. She has been bundling it inside all this time and she seems like she can now be herself around her family and close friends. Also in this reading, they talk a bit about the religion reformation that will take place later in the future.(Page 206)
Pages 231 and 232
Anne releases all her inner thoughts towards Queen Katherine. She finally defends herself in a way that was much needed.

The Thrill of Alba
I wonder why the thrill keeps me coming back
It excites me to see more each day.
It is has been a habit until I realize what lies beneath the Alba.
Each sunrise is a mystery that I am in search of discovering.
As the days turn into months and months into years, my love has grown for the Alba of each day.
It gives me a sense of relief and anxiety at the same time.
What is next for my journey of discovering the Alba.
Until then I will appreciate each chance I get to spend my mornings with Alba.

Chapters 4-8
The story is starting to build up and makes a bit more sense. I am glad you(Ms. Hanson) gave us an overview and a better understanding of who the characters were. That makes the reading easier to understand and I can then imagine it. I cannot imagine how miserable and devastated Anne must of felt when she heard the news that she would be waiting on the Queen once again. I, personally, feel that I would not be able to do it. It must have been a crazy feeling to have to present yourself to the soon-to-be ex-wife of the man you are planning to marry. It had to be the most awkward situation.

Reading this rather confusing book
At first, I was a bit confused on what this book was about. It starts out with the author explaining a bit of her life. She seems to be a huge fan of Anne Boleyn and her personality. The Anne character seems a bit spontaneous and not the norm for her century. I am still not convinced that the author went back in time, I also think it is just a dream she is having and will soon awake from it. The author has such a great way to describe the scenes and settings. I can imagine every room and person that she presents in the book.
As I got into chapter 2, I realized more and more that this is a bit scandalous. Anne seems to be a wild and careless woman. I am still not sure of her age. I hope to get more answers to this book as we read more. I will say it is not what I expected. At the end of chapter 3, I thought to myself, am I reading "Fifty Shades of Grey".

This week I had to write my rough draft on an activist. I chose Cesar Chavez and there was more to him than I thought. In my opinion, he contributed to the Hispanic community and helped pave the way for Mexican Americans. However, I have seen situations in farms that is similar to what was going on in his time. It could be said that slavery is still alive in the United States.
Chapter 9
Anecdotes really add flavor and suspense to a story.pg 419 I did not use many of these in my paper but I wish I would have and I probably will include some in my final draft.
I Learned how to set up cause-effect sentences. I have been using similar writing styles in the past. page 425
I learned that Mcdonald's used to allow you to "Supersize" your meal with only a 0.79 cent upcharge!!!
